| JEREMY DENK
The New York Times describes Jeremy Denk’s playing as "bracing, effortlessly virtuosic and utterly joyous," and his last Portland recital was named as one of the outstanding concerts of 2007 by The Oregonian. Mr. Denk was a 1998 recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant. He holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, Indiana University (as a pupil of György Sebök), and The Juilliard School, and is a member of the faculty of the Bard College Conservatory of Music. His weblog ThinkDenk elicited this comment from The New Yorker, "Besides being a brilliant musician, Denk is simply one of the most interesting writers I know."
